Klein & Birns Urology deals with all aspects of urology, specifically with conditions of the kidneys, bladder, prostate, male infertility and sexual dysfunction.

Urology is the specialty of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the male and female urinary tract (bladder, ureter, kidney and urethra) and male reproductive system. While urology is classified as a surgical subspecialty, a large proportion of our practice involves medical treatment of urologic conditions.

For over 25 years, we have dedicated ourselves to providing an atmosphere of compassion, respect, understanding and professionalism. We make a special effort to answer all questions about your condition, and provide you with a comprehensive understanding of all treatment options available. Dr. George Klein

Dr George Klein received his M.D. degree from Cornell University College of Medicine. He completed his internship in Surgery at North Shore University Hospital and Residency in Urology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Urology and is on the staff of Lenox Hill Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Urology since 1983.

Dr. Douglas R. Birns

Dr. Douglas R. Birns received his M.D. degree from S,U.N.Y Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his internship in Surgery and Residency in Urology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Urology and has published articles in several peer reviewed journals. He has admitting privledges at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Urology since 1988.
